La Policía Nacional informa a nuestro Pueblo y a la Comunidad Internacional:
Esta mañana de Viernes Santo, mientras en todo el País se realizaron en tranquilidad y recogimiento Espiritual, Cultos, Misas, Viacrucis, Procesiones, en Managua, un grupo de personas encapuchadas, armadas con piedras, morteros y algunas con armas de fuego, quiso manipular el Viacrucis de la Catedral.
Al regresar a la Catedral este mismo grupo de personas dañaron la Fuente de la Rotonda Rubén Darío, y se quedaron, encapuchados y armados, en los predios de la Iglesia Mayor de la Capital.
La Policía Nacional aseguró el resguardo del Orden Público y no hay ni una sola persona detenida o herida.
La Policía Nacional cumple con su deber Constitucional de resguardar el derecho y la tranquilidad, la tradición religiosa y la recreación de las Familias nicaragüenses, y el libre tránsito de las personas.

The National Police informs our People and the International Community:
This Good Friday morning, while in the entire country Cults, Masses, Stations of the Cross and Processions were carried out in Managua in tranquility and Spiritual recollection a group of hooded people, armed with stones, mortars and some with firearms, wanted to manipulate the Stations of the Cross at the Cathedral. Upon returning to the Cathedral, this same group of people damaged the Rubén Darío Fountain of the Rotunda, and remained, hooded and armed, in the grounds of the Greater Church of the Capital.
The National Police secured the protection of Public Order and there is not a single person detained or injured.
The National Police fulfills its Constitutional duty to safeguard the right and tranquility, the religious tradition and recreation of the Nicaraguan families, and the free movement of people.
