EMBASSY OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA
The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua has learned of publications in another Country, wherein false statements are made in relation to businesses from the People's Republic of China working in Nicaragua.
We have also learned of the important Statement by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in our Country, which we fully support for its forcefulness and veracity.

The Chinese Embassy in Nicaragua has noticed a publication on the X platform of the United States Embassy in Costa Rica and which was forwarded by its Diplomatic Mission in Nicaragua, which groundlessly accuses Chinese mining companies in Nicaragua of resorting to coercive practices, linking their activities with illegal mining in Costa Rica.
It should be noted no Chinese companies carry out mining activities on the border between Nicaragua and Costa Rica or in surrounding areas. The accusations made by the United States side are factually baseless, deliberately confusing different issues, thus making them irresponsible.
We urge the US side to respect the facts, abandon unfounded accusations and stop using the mining issue to discredit cooperation between China and Nicaragua. China opposes any attempt to defame Chinese companies by making unsubstantiated claims.
