Good afternoon, Brothers and Sisters, Families of Matagalpa. Where are the slayers? Where are the young people of Matagalpa? Everyone! I'm going to ask again: Where are the young people of Matagalpa?
First of all, first of all, receive the greeting, the embrace, the affection, the tokens of affection, from Comandante Daniel Ortega and Compañera Rosario Murillo, for all the Matagalpinos.
We are here with you because we came to hold the consultation at this stage, the Second Stage of the Consultation of the Constitutional Reforms. This Stage is called "Hay Patria”, because in Nicaragua There is a Nation, There Is a Patriotic Nation, We Have a Nation.
We have with us the Departmental Political Secretary, Compañero Pedro Haslam, whom we receive with applause.
We have Compañero Zadrach Zeledón, Mayor of Matagalpa.
Here too is the Compañera Aracely Fernández, Political Secretariat of Matagalpa Centro.
Compañero Johaira Hernández, Vice Mayor of Matagalpa, to whom we give a round of applause.
Over here are our Compañeros of the National Police, they are with us, always with us.

The Compañeras and Compañeros Sandinista Youth Coordinators of Matagalpa and their Youth Movements. You’re very quiet. Young people are fire. Where are the Youth Coordinators, where are those of the Youth Movements, where is the Sandinista Youth?

Now I'm going to introduce you to the Brothers and Sisters of the Commission and those of us who are here. I already introduced you to the Leaders of Matagalpa, but I also want to introduce you to Dr. Arling Alonso, First Vice President of the National Assembly, a member of the Commission.
I want to introduce to you a Compañera who is os with us, Comandante Doris Tijerino who is here with us.
We have our Brother Doctor Edwin Castro, Head of the Sandinista Front political grouping.
We have Dr. Mario Ascencio Flores, Head of the PLI political grouping, of the BID political grouping, Democratic Independent; and a Friend, Brother, Lester Flores, Head of the PLC political grouping.
You see how this Process and this Transformation unites all of us, all of us who say We Have A Nation, and the Sandinista Front is united with the other Representatives in the Assembly, to carry out these transformations.
On this side I want to introduce you to the Compañera Loria Dixon, First Secretary of the National Assembly; a Caribbean Woman. She was enjoying, watching the Maypole dance since she is a woman from the Caribbean.
We have Doctor Wilfredo Navarro, who is here with us; he is the Second Secretary of the National Assembly. And also Dr. Alejandro Mejía Ferretti, Third Secretary of the Assembly, who is here with us.
In addition, we would like to introduce you to Dr. Auxiliadora Martínez, president of the Justice Commission; and Dr. Wálmaro Gutiérrez, president of the Economic Commission.
All of us make up the Special Constitutional Commission, which has been working to present these Reforms, under the guidance of Comandante Daniel, of Compañera Rosario, after they gave us the directive on July 19th to put up a wall, a barrier, to the enemies of the People, so that they would not return here, in the Elections, to use the Electionsso as to want to return.
We have been working on this and today we come to present to you and to listen to your opinions. That's why I'm going to let Dr. Wilfredo Navarro explain to us the Seven Points contained in this Reform, so that later you can participate and tell us your opinion.
Let's be very brief. The Presentation is a bit longer, but Dr. Navarro knows a great deal about this.

Second Secretary of the National Assembly
Good afternoon, Matagalpinos and Matagalpinas who are always ready to defend the conquests of this Revolution. A very good afternoon.
On behalf of the Special Commission, appointed by the National Assembly for the Constitutional Reforms, I would like to express our gratitude to you because you are present today and because you are interested in knowing the reach of these Constitutional Reforms.
As the President of the National Assembly already said, we received guidance from our Co-Presidents, to make the necessary Consultations and Meetings so as to elaborate a Proposal for Laws that curb foreign interference and prevent Elections from being held ever again where the Dignity of the People is toyed with.
And after more than a month of consultations with the different sectors, the Reform was approved in the First Legislature, because Constitutional Reforms require approval in two Legislatures. So, after listening to the productive sectors, the different voices of Nicaraguan society, we approved these Articles that I am going to read to you in the First Legislature.
But, once it was approved in the First Legislature, they appointed us to make presentations throughout the National Territory, so that the Citizens of this Country, the different Municipalities, can get to know the reason for these Reforms and the scope of their application
The Reform Law has Seven Articles, and the Articleuett… b first of all do you have this little she of paper? So, I understand that you have already read them; then let's go faster.
The First Article of the Reform establishes that no foreign law has extraterritoriality in our country.
What does that mean? That no foreign law can be applied in the National Territory, because it is not a Law of this Republic. With that we are stopping all these aggressions... that the Framework Law, that some Law or some other Law or any other Law that the Gringos are a.pprove have no validity in Nicaragua and that they can make faces at us Nicaraguans but we are not going to pay any attention to them since they have no application. So please note that no foreign law applies in Nicaragua.
The Second Article is a very important Article, because it puts the brakes on the unbridled ambitions of traitors and sell-outs It was necessary for the Constitution to clearly and specifically define those people who cannot participate in our Electoral Processes.
Who can not take part in our Electoral Processes? The Coup Plotters, the Traitors to the Nation, those who incite or promote foreign interference in the Country, those who call for military intervention, those who organize with foreign financing, those who support economic, commercial or financial blockades, those who call for sanctions against the State of Nicaragua, and those who do not comply with the Fundamental Principles of the Political Constitution.
With that we are fulfilling the princiople of They Will Not Prevail, those traitors and quislings will not be able to come here wanting to govern this Country so as to steal the conquests that have been achieved with the Revolution.
Thirdly, the period established for the positions of Popular Election and for those of Election or Ratification by the National Assembly will be seven years. What does it mean? That from the next Elections the periods of both the Presidency, the Deputies, the Councilors, and all those Officials who are appointed by the Co-Presidency of the Republic, or those appointed by the National Assembly, will have a period of seven years; that is, the current period is 6 years, it is extended to 7.
This has its logic, because it is necessary that public officials, whether elected or appointed, have more time to comply with the Projects or Programs that have been established.
The Fourth Article establishes that the periods of appointment of the Commander-in-Chief of the Military Forces of the Army and of the Chiefs of the Nicaraguan Police Forces will also be seven years. This is in line with what the Third Article says, that the period of Public Officials has to be seven years.
Article Five. This is also a decisive article to build that barrier, that fence, which the Co-President, Comandante Daniel Ortega, asked us to do so as to prevent foreign interference. This Article is to give the Supreme Electoral Council the necessary tools so that they can keep an eye on essentials with regard to the Elections such that traitors and quislings cannot participate as Candidates, and nor can Political Parties exist or be constituted which support all those who want to attack the Sovereignty of our Country.
Article Six. This is important because, as we say in the Article, it is a tribute and a merit for our pre-eminent Nicaraguan, our National Hero, who is Rubén Darío. We are moving the Inauguration of the Authorities, following the Elections, which before was established in the Constitution as being held on January 10th, now we are passing it to January 18th, which is the date of birth of Rubén Darío, and with this we want to honor our Universal Poet.
The Seventh Article establishes that the terms of all positions of Popular Election, Presidential Appointment, or those Elected and Ratified by the National Assembly, who are in office, are extended to seven years. What does this mean? That the current Mayors, Vice Mayors, Councilors, Deputies, everyone will have their term extended for one year, so as to level things up and so that we all start from scratch in the next General, Regional, or Municipal Election, which will be held in the Country.
These are the Seven Articles that have been amended in the Constitution in the First Legislature, and we are coming to visit the different Municipalities and get in touch with all the different People, Authorities, Sectors, of each Municipality, to hear from you your views on these Reforms, and the need to ensure continuity.
Your participation is vitally important for us, and that is why I would like to open things up at this time, for the People President, for the participation of each one of you and for you to tell us what you think, to us here, that's why we are here, to hearwhat you think about the Reforms, and most importantly, to get your endorsement and approval to continue the Consultations and, subsequently, in the Second Legislature to approve them so that they are become constitutionally applicable.

Good afternoon, Brothers and Sisters. We extend a cordial welcome to our Brothers and Sisters of the National Assembly, Dr. Gustavo Porras, President; to its Members of the Executive Board; to the Special Commission formed for this Process of Consultations and for the approval of the Partial Reforms to our Constitution.
Welcome, Brothers and Sisters, to this City, to this People of History, of Struggles, of Courage, of Nobility, and of Work and Peace. The land of Commander-in-Chief Carlos Fonseca, of the Comandante of the Revolution Tomás Borge Martínez, of Comandante Francisco Buitrago, Founders of the Sandinista National Liberation Front; The Land of our Ancestral Fighters, represented by the Indian Archers of Matagalpa, who participated in the First Defeat of the Imperialists on our Land, the invaders of our Land at the Battle of San Jacinto, in 1856.
Men and Women, Members of Matagalpa’s People, who recount our history about how they could never be colonized either by the Spanish, or by any of the invaders who wanted to take away our lands, and resources and make slaves of the Matagalpinos and Matagalpinas.
And with that same Spirit, with that same Courage, with that same Great Energy to move forward, today we are going to make clear, we are going to make very clear our support for these Constitutional Reforms, so as to have the legal framework, the national legal framework, to keep moving onward, to fulfill the dreams of our Heroes, of our Martyrs, of our Heroines; their dream of a Free Nicaragua, a Nicaragua in Peace, a Nicaragua in Freedom, a Nicaragua full of Love and Strength to overcome Poverty for the development of Nicaraguan Families.
We are going to give you the floor and we are going to ask that we all be specific, because there are quite a few Matagalpa Brothers and Sisters who have told us that they want to take the floor to express their opinion this afternoon.
But we are going to ask them not to withdraw after listening to the Compañeros and Compañeras who are going to take the floor, because the next step will be the vote. We are going to vote here so that there is evidence of the support for this Process from the inhabitants of this important Municipality of Matagalpa.

Today, on behalf of our Youth of all Times, we want to support and tell you that we support the Constitutional Reforms of our Nicaragua, to continue advancing in the development of our Blessed and Forever Free Homeland; so that our Youth can continue with their studies, with free and quality Health Care; to continue having the Benefits that we have achieved today.
That's why we give our support today, so that everything that has been built during these years of Triumphs and Victories is not thrown away.
That is why, as Young People, we have supported our Co-Presidents of the Republic, Comandante Daniel and Compañera Rosario, to move forward and continue advancing with this People who love and defend Peace.

Good afternoon, Compañeras. I am Professor José Ramón Roblero Sarmiento, Professor of Mathematics and Physics, great-nephew of Rubén Darío. My grandfather was Salvador Sarmiento, brother of Rosa Sarmiento.
On the North side is the danger, on the North side is where the hostile eagle comes from.
Let us distrust, Brothers and Sisters of America, let us distrust the men with blue eyes, who do not speak to us unless they have set a trap for us.
On March 20, 1923, the Yankee Marines made a Law, Dodds Law, a Law they wanted to be able to treat us as stupid and unworthy. In that Law the Yankee Marines said, women could not vote, those who had money could vote, those who had property, and those who could read could vote, only the rich, the poor did not vote. How would a poor person know how to read and write, if it was a government of the rich?
The President of the Electoral Council was an Yankee, a Yankee general; the President of the Cantons was another Yankee, and at the entrances there was a guard named Constabularia, a Somoza Guard. And to our people, after they voted, they gave them nacatamal and liquor; they thought they were deceiving our People. Our People are smart, our People are not stupid, they know who the enemy is.
The Political Parties in those times were the following: Servile and Naked, Timbucos and Calandracas, Legitimist and Democratic, Liberals and Conservatives... the same garbage!
I want to propose, as Roblero President, as Mayor President, that it not be 7 years, that it be 10 years, because in 10 years we are going to get the People of Nicaragua out of Poverty and Extreme Poverty. Why? Because we are just getting over what was done to us in 2018, we are just getting over it. So, in 10 years time we will build the Nicaragua that Nicaraguans want.
In Matagalpa, the birthplace of Rubén Darío, the birthplace of Carlos Fonseca, the birthplace of Tomás Borge, of the Indian Archers, we are ready for the Present and the Future. The People United will never be defeated.
In 10 years we are going see Nicaragua growing by at least 8% in GDP. If we manage to reach 8% in GDP, I don't know if you know what GDP is: Gross Domestic Product. Right now we are at 4%, more or less. With 8% we will lift the People of Nicaragua out of Extreme Poverty and Poverty.
In Matagalpa we have two very good Leaders, I want us to give a round of applause to Compañero Pedro Haslam and to our Mayor Shadrach Zeledón, two very good leaders.
In Nicaragua we have two Leaders who work day and night, as they do, Comandante José Daniel Ortega Saavedra and Compañera Rosario Murillo. They work day and night, they are doing an exceptional, excellent job, they are 100%. If you ask me their grade as a teacher, they have AA. You know what that means.
In 10 years we are going to show you the best recipe for a wholesome stew is made with, listen up, we are going to show you hhe best recipe for a wholesome stew, because we are governing in Peace, Stability, Security and Sovereignty; we are doing well.
I want to congratulate, I do not know if they have done it elsewhere, I want to congratulate the United Nicaragua Triumphs Alliance. Let's give a round of applause to the United Nicaragua Triumphs Alliance, led by the Sandinista Front. Because the Sandinista Front is the Vanguard of the People, the Sandinista Front is the political-ideological instrument of the People of Nicaragua.

Good afternoon, Compañeras and Compañeros. First of all, I want to greet our members, but I also want to give a very special greeting to Comandante Tijerino and Amada Pineda, two women from Matagalpa whom I love very much.
My name is Gloria Gutiérrez and I represent the People President for people with disabilities, because people with disabilities are also the People President. Right, Compañeras and Compañeros?
So, today I represent people with disabilities and I want to say that we have had immense achievements. In the municipality of Matagalpa, more than 60 homes delivered to people with disabilities and their families.
We have funding from the Central Government, we have funding from the Municipal Government.
We have something very important that perhaps others do not value, but that we do value, and that is inclusion, inclusion in the different programs and projects that our government has; also The restitution of rights, because you can see that we also have blind Deputies who make use of their right to political and public participation.
And since I cannot extend myself because others want to speak, I want to tell you that people with disabilities fully, consciously support the reforms to our Constitution, because we do not want, under any circumstances, traitors and sell-outs to come again, we do not want traitors and sell-outs, or imperialists, to come to rule, to invade our Nation.
That is why people with disabilities fully support the constitutional reforms that are being presented today, and that were already approved in the first legislature and that will be approved in the second Legislature, because the people of Nicaragua are aware of the need for these reforms.
The People of Nicaragua, which is the People of Carlos, of Tomás and of many Sandinista Compañeros and Compañeras who gave their lives for this Revolution, we are here to give our support. So: On To Victory Always, and not a step back from these reforms.

Good afternoon. My name is María Danelia López, I am a doctor by profession, I work in the Health Sector.
Categorically, the health Sector of Matagalpa supports the reforms to our political constitution. We as a Health Sector 100% support them, because I have worked in health care at all times of the Revolution, and it would be sad if there were no health care for the people.
Now we have specific hospitals for Oncology, we have Hospitals for Operation Miracle, for cataracts; that is, we have free health care for our people, where all Nicaraguans can go, whoever wants to go.
So we cannot allow them to take away our power, we will fight to the last consequences from our sector, from our neighborhoods. Because we want the President and Compañera to continue governing this country, because it is a government of the people, it is a government concerned about health care, about education, about the whole situation of our country. So we cannot allow ourselves to lose power.

Good to meet you, Compañeros and Compañeras. Good afternoon everyone, beloved Compañeras and Compañeros Mayors present; National Assembly, who today have been representing us in the different communities.
We recognize as Sandinista Youth, as teachers, the work that you have come to carry out not only here, Compañeras and Compañeros. We know that you have been in the different communities promoting not only the vote, not only our participation of us here in Matagalpa, but you have gone out to the communities, like Rancho Grande, Matiguás, and Waslala, all those places which are part of the history of the Sandinista revolution.
I am a teacher of UNAN-UNICAM, you know well that this is an emblematic project, which you have supported as a very beautiful program. You know that this program started in 2012 here, directed by the excellent doctor Martha González whom we have here, I hope that Professor Martha González will stand up.
We applaud her for representing us with great dignity as director of the UNAN here in Matagalpa, and I am proud, because she is a woman who represents us women with dignity, and you have given that issue great prominence, you have had faith in us women.
Most of the institutional positions we hold with pride, with dignity, those of us who have brought learning to the communities and I am proud to say that I have trained professionals to come and be our future, because we are not eternal. But here we have a Nicaragua that shines out in health care, in education, in sports, in no sector can we complain.
We come as young Sandinistas, as university teachers from UNAN-CUR Matagalpa, and from the UNICAM program led by Dr. Julio Laguna, a whole range of teachers have come who can raise their hands.
Come on, teachers of UNAN, UNICAM, raise your hands and say here we are present!, here is the University, we are all a family, a big family that supports us, we communicate, and we know that we are going to carry this project on for better things, because Nicaragua needs professionals, and we have reached the mountain, with dignity, so as to bring down the bread of Education.
Here are the future architects, here are the future forgers of Education, these are the future deputies, and so we are proud and we support the Constitution, we support these Seven Articles contemplated in the Constitutional Reforms.
As young Sandinistas and as university teachers, we know very well that Compañera Rosario and Comandante Daniel will be with us for years, even if it hurts the enemy. Because here we have a voice and a vote and the People are in charge. We support the Compañero, yes or no, Compañeros and Compañeras? Yes. We support this Constitution and we know that we are going on towards Better Things and better projects are coming. And They Could Not Prevail, Nor Will They! Thank you, very kind.

Good afternoon, Compañeras and Compañeros deputies; beloved Zadrach; Pedro Haslam, the authorities of our sector here in Matagalpa.
I am retired from the Army. I lived exactly in front of where Carlos Fonseca lived, I watched him leave when he was a kid, where Doña Clarisa Vargas lived. Also my dad was a friend of Tomas Borge, he knew me too, I sold newspapers to them.
I'm a newspaper seller, I'm a carpenter, I'm a bricklayer, I'm an electrician and I'm on another course right now, look what the revolution is giving me. They say that an old parrot never learns, but I am 75 with the teachers I have been learning from, so there is no need to be left behind.
Well, I also belong to ANDEN, Karlita there is going to scold me because I came a little late, but on the quiet we are combative together.
I participated in the two revolutionary feats, in the last one, there is Shadrach, there is Pedro, who can attest to that, and we were strongly stalwart and no one should believe the boastful lizard in the White House, that we older people here are a pushover... We are in the fight even if I fall, so let them assign me my post in the trench, and if I get shot then others will fight on, to the very last drop of our blood. We are ready to offer our lives for the Revolution, as many of us have given them three times over.
I am crippled, with shrapnel wounds here and there, blind in one eye; two broken vertebrae, two pinched vertebrae, three broken ribs, and this collarbone that puts me to one side like this.
They say I'm crazy, on the street, they even ask me: Why are you carrying that rucksack? What are you doing , you must be crazy. I don't know, I got the habit as an adolescent shouting in the streets here in Matagalpa, with Chepe González and all those people...
My name is Leonel Picado Aráuz, but when they replaced my ID they called me Arauz Picado, so now I am Arauz Picado. And I follow the same line of Robler, he says that he is the nephew of the poet Rubén Darío, and I am the nephew of Eliseo Picado Arauz, flesh and blood. No one knows, first time in my life that I say it, because I am very discreet.
But I am a teacher with a lot of pride, and until my life is over I will be with the Sandinista Front and seeing all the achievements that I could not see when I was a child. Thank you for everything.

Good afternoon, Brother and Sister Deputies, Political Secretaries, Mayors.
My name is Emiliano Rojas Acosta, I come to represent the Transport Sector of the Municipality of Matagalpa. This Sector that has entrusted me with the voice so that I can transmit and say that we have unconditional support for the Constitutional Reforms, those Reforms which sustain the Principles of Independence, Sovereignty, Self-Determination and Non-Interference from other countries.
That is why we strongly support these Constitutional Reforms, because they guarantee Peace, Sovereignty, as I have already said, but also the Dignity of Human Beings.
We cannot fail to mention those Indian Archers from Matagalpa, who gave their lives at the Hacienda San Jacinto to defeat the Yankee Filibusters.
One has to remember too our Comandante Carlos Fonseca Amador and Commander Tomás Borge Martínez, Founders of the Sandinista Front and the Historic Program of the Revolution.
That is why we say the Transport Sector is present, supporting the Constitution, the Constitutional Reforms. Thank you very much.

My name is Mileydi Arauz Úbeda, I come on behalf of the Teachers of Higher Education, and we as Teachers and from our History and from our Cultural Identity, remembering in this Victorious September the stone that Andrés threw, the arrows of our Original Peoples, the deeds and the struggles waged by our General of Free Men and Women, Augusto Calderón Sandino.

I want to thank the Good Government of Reconciliation and National Unity for opening to us the doors of the Houses of Culture and Creativity, where young people perform their talents in Dance, Music, Art and many things that we can do for ourselves.
I support the Reform of the Political Constitution, because thanks to it, we dancers of the “Carlos Arroyo Pineda” House of Culture and Creativity of the Municipal Mayor's Office of Matagalpa will continue to represent our Department in different activities. Recently we shared the stage with Compañeros and Compañeras from Honduras at the delivery of Torch of Central American Independence.

My name is Dionisio Pérez Sánchez, I am a Member of the Council of Elders of this Matagalpa Indigenous Community, and I am a true descendant of Lorenzo Pérez, the Indian who participated in the fighting in the Battle of San Jacinto. He was also present in the Rebellion of 1881 in the Battle against Joaquín Zavala.
I represent the Executive Board of the Indigenous People of Matagalpa, which gives me the opportunity to be present here also before our National Assembly, which takes us into account in these consultation processes for the benefit of the People.
I want to tell you that I am also accompanied by the Cacique Mayor, the Council of Elders of the Indigenous People of Matagalpa, the President of the Executive Board, the Indigenous Queen who is our daughter of the people; she recently accompanied us in the activity we held of Matagalpa’s Indian Archers and is accompanying us here.
We remember these 170 years of the struggle since 1856, and also the great battle against Joaquin Zavala who is 145 years old; this was in 1881, and we thank the Revolutionary Government led by our Comandante Daniel and Compañera Rosario, so we tell them that and we also thank the National Assembly for taking us into account as Indigenous People and Indian Archers, because we are; we are of the Indigenous Race of the Indian Archers.
So we tell you that we support the Seven Articles of the Reform of the Constitution, Our Magna Carta. Always Onward, Compañeras and Compañeros. Thank you.

We are here to give our absolute support to this Constitutional Reform with its Seven Articles; from our digital trenches we give absolute support, since this represents the legal basis for us to give continuity to Peace in our beautiful Nicaragua and continue in the Restitution of Nicaraguans’ Rights.
It is important to remember the Past because only in that way do we know the reason for our Revolutionary Struggle; let's remember the attacks perpetuated by the traitors to our Nation in 2018 when they tried to attack us, when many Nicaraguans fell for their deceptions; they used Social Networks as weapons, working on line and many fell for it.
Today the Sandinista National Liberation Front has provided us with weapons, and these weapons are through constant study. From the Digital Platforms we are constantly training ourselves and we will never be deceived again.
At the same time, we are in Diploma courses History of Nicaragua, the History of the Revolution and Master's Degrees, completely free of charge, and that way we learn the History of our Nation.
Because by knowing the Past, we understand the Future and we guarantee that this history of betrayal will never be repeated in Nicaragua again.
Let's remember that, for every history of betrayal, there has always been a Hero, a Heroine willing to defend our Nation, and today, that responsibility falls not only on the digital networks, not only on the Communicators, but on the whole of Nicaragua.

It is an honor for me and I appreciate the opportunity of this space to be in this Historic act of exercising Self-Determination, here in this beautiful place surrounded by these hills, El Calvario, and the other hills in this Historic City of Matagalpa with this rain now that is refreshing this space.
My name is Edgard Castillo, I come from the Artisan Sector, I am a bamboo Craftsman, I run small Tourism Ventures and I am also an Environmentalist.
We support the Constitutional Reforms because we are aware of all the progress that has been made in the construction of highways.
Today we receive visitors from Chinandega, from Managua in the Peñas Blancas Massif and they can travel and return the same day, that was unthinkable before the Sandinista Government.
We have also received all the benefits of the Electrification Projects, the Trainings we receive not only on a personal level, but all our personnel, all the Technical Training that is being done, is raising quality in leaps and bounds.
I didn't think that in my lifetime I would be able to see all the advances that now exist in different sectors, I thought that it would be up to my children, grandchildren to see what is being done; all the Programs of the Fairs, the Promotion, all the support that the Institutions give us.
Let's remember how the interference affected us and continues to affect us, how we lost eight months, and as the teacher said, eight months without income completely, and also we are just starting to recover.
I want to address the entire audience, let's confirm, the Deputies are in many different places, look how interesting, only the Directive is here, the others are spread out everywhere, they came to hear us to know what we think. But I would like the whole audience, if they agree with what I'm saying, to say, what we don't want and then we're going to say what we do want.
We from the Tourism Sector do not want roadblocks, we do not want any barricades, we do not want foreign governments having an opinion on who governs Nicaragua, we do not want that, we do not want foreign governments to finance Nicaraguan elections.
We want Peace, we want Peace, we want Security, we want Security and we want Stability, we want Stability. Thank you very much, Members.

Beloved Compañeras and Compañeros presiding, Brother and Sister Transport Operators, Matagalpa Families, receive a cordial greeting from the Transport Operators. Men and women who travel the streets, roads and highways of our Nicaragua every day, guaranteeing the mobility of our People and contributing to the Economic and Social Development of our Nation.
We transport operators know the enormous value of Peace; during the failed coup of 2018, we lived through difficult moments, in which our vehicles, our sources of work and the safety of our Families were threatened, roads were blocked, buses were burned, Nicaraguans murdered, tortured and set alight.
We know that without Peace no route is safe, without Security there is no investment and without Stability there can be no Development. In recent years we have witnessed the profound modernization of public transport, Managua has completely renewed its fleet.
Intermunicipal Transport has also been strengthened and more than 3,000 Units have been purchased from the Sister Countries of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.
These advances have meant better conditions for us Transport Operators, greater security for our passengers and a more dignified service for Nicaragua’s Families.
That is why the Transport Sector expresses today its firm support for the Constitutional Reforms, we support them because we need strong institutions, which establish a long-term vision allowing us to continue developing the great Projects our People need.
We believe that by extending the presidential term of office for Elections to seven years, it makes it possible to strengthen medium- and long-term planning to give continuity to the fundamental Projects for the economic and social development of the country.
We also support the principle of the Defense of our National Sovereignty; we firmly believe that decisions about the Present and Future of Nicaragua correspond exclusively to Nicaraguans and that no foreign interests should decide the direction of our Nation.
Those who have attacked our sovereignty, those who have demanded sanctions and have called for foreign interference, the traitors to the Nation, cannot have any space in the public life of our Nicaragua.
For us, the Transporter Operators, the Political Constitution is not a simple paper document, it is the legal architecture and the living expression of the collective Project of coexistence of the People, the children of Nicaragua, the Supreme Authority which organizes Public Politics and defines the principles guiding the life of our beloved Nation. We know that when Nicaragua advances, transportation advances, and when transportation advances, we also contribute to moving Nicaragua's development forward.
We reaffirm our commitment to Peace, Security and Stability, we reaffirm our commitment to the defense of our Sovereignty and the right of Nicaraguans to build their own future.
From every Route, every Cooperative, every Terminal, every transport vehicle, we express our support for this Constitutional Reform and our commitment to continue contributing to the development of the Well-being of all Nicaraguan Families.

A very good afternoon, a Fraternal Revolutionary Greeting to the Compañero President of the Assembly, Dr. Gustavo Porras, to our Brother Pedro Haslam, our Mayor, Zadrach Zeledón, to our Sisters, the Historic Compañera of the Municipality of Matagalpa, both of you, to Amada Pineda and to our Sister, here on behalf of the Historic Inhabitants and Combatants of the FSLN, we say Present!
We are present here to safeguard the Christian, Socialist and Solidarity Model and that can only be possible in Peace and Development, and for that we are present here, to strengthen the Constitution of the Republic.
We agree with the Reforms that are going to be implemented, these Reforms will allow us and the People of Nicaragua to move forward in Peace, Development and Dignity.
So, we reaffirm to the present Assembly, to our Deputies that we are here and we agree with these Reforms. Thank you very much.

Good afternoon, Compañeras and Compañeros, Deputies of the National Assembly, Departmental, Municipal Authorities, People President. My name is César Gurdián, owner of the small business Delicias Gurdián.
Our small business has been operating for about four years, thanks to the Policies, to the good policies that this Government has implemented, and thanks to those Policies, to the Security, the Peace, the Tranquility that we have had to be able to develop it as a business, and we have managed to advance these seven years.
However, we need to project ourselves into the future, and not only say, we are going to reach seven or eight years, but beyond; today we have been listening and analyzing the Reforms to the Constitution, and we see that these Reforms are going to help us guarantee the Security, the Peace, the Tranquility that we Small Businesses need to be able to continue moving forward and providing our grains of sand that the Nicaraguan Economy needs.
That is why, today, we 100% support the reforms to our Constitution. Thank you very much.

Good afternoon Compañeras and Compañeros, my name is Reinerio Centeno Cantarero, representative of the markets and vegetable producers of Matagalpa.
Today Matagalpa feels so happy and so joyful to know that we have all the Deputies of the National Assembly here. On behalf of us all, we fully support the Political Constitution.
I thank God for you as an Assembly that is communicating the Reform to the Nicaraguan People so that no one can come along trying to deceive us.
Let us remember that the inheritance given to us must be protected and is taken care of with the Soul, with the Spirit and our General Augusto C. Sandino, our Comandantes Carlos and Tomás Borge, who bequeathed us a Nation and bequeathed us Peace.
So that's why each of us Nicaraguans must take care of it and strive so that the enemy do not come to take away the five fundamental things that our General Sandino bequeathed to our Country, which through you, as an Assembly, we have received and Comandante Daniel and Compañera Rosario have given us back what they took from us, it was given back to us Nicaraguans, what they stole from us for years leaving us only slavery and ignorance.
Today, we enjoy five fundamental things, which we Nicaraguans must take care of it with our Soul and with our Heart, that our Comandante Carlos Fonseca and our Comandante Daniel have fully returned to the Nicaraguan people.
First, we have the fundamental thing, that many people come from abroad to participate in our beautiful Nicaraguan which is free Health Care, we have Electricity, we have our Teachers, we have our Peasant families producing with the support of our Comandante Daniel and Compañera Rosario and we have your support in the National Assembly in all the areas which are developing in our country.
That is why we must take care of the Nation we live in today and never allow them to come and try to deceive us, to try to take away from us what our ancestors fought for with much effort, our Brothers and Sisters who died doing so.
That is why each of us Nicaraguans must take care of the Peace, the Stability, the great Love that they gave to us.

As we celebrate Peace with Joy, we can visit the Agricultural, Livestock and Family Economy Fair there in the Elías Alonso Park. We are going to light the fires today for this great Fair which will be installed in Matagalpa from today until Sunday, closing with the Northern Equestrian Celebration.
