after the Event commemorating the 46th Anniversary
of the foundation of the Naval Force of the Nicaraguan Army

Good evening, Compañeras and Compañeros, and a very good evening to the beloved, much beloved families of our Heroic Nicaragua, Blessed with the great Spirit that gives us the Heroism, Strength and Fortitude to fight on and to overcome, to strive in these Times of Peace, in our Nicaragua, against Poverty, to overcome, and to continue overcoming.
These are lessons, master classes our Comandante Daniel has imparted in our recent events, master classes about who we are. Where we came from, as our Darío says, and where we are going.
We come from the Heroic Resistance against the attempts of imperial greed, imperialist greed at so many times of our history. But we have been able to resist that greed, we have been able to overcome that greed, and we have also been able to maintain that Strength throughout our history; because it is a Strength that God gives, it is not a material force, a Force that can only be explained from within us as Human Beings.
Without God there is nothing. God has given us the Strength to fight, God has given us the Strength to resist, and God continues giving us the Strength to continue the battles, because there are still people out there who think they are children of William Walker. Or they are! They are!
And we say: We have the Strength, we have the Strength... Just as they fled running, in confusion, from San Jacinto... The Strength of the Stone of Andres! Fernando Gordillo, a great Sandinista Poet, used to say : Cast the Stone, Andrés... Throw it! So many years distant, the enemy is the same.
We have the Stone of Andres in our hands, in our hearts, not to kill, but to resist. It is the emblem that identifies us, a Great People, a Heroic People, a Combative People, a Victorious People. And even more so, too, given what our Comandante Daniel has narrated about that immortal Battle of Ocotal. The imperialists of the Earth were also defeated there.
And as Comandante Daniel also reflected, hatred will not transform the World so as to achieve Well-being for the Community or the Human Family. It's not hatred. It is Christian love.
Christ Jesus left us the Supreme Teaching: It is with Love that we go Onward. It is with Love that we continue to overcome. It is Love that gives you that Inner Strength, that Great Spirit capable of overcoming under all circumstances.
An extraordinary history, as we said, of a Nicaragua coveted by everyone, but also of resistance by all Nicaraguans, resisting Empires. And exemplary battles have been fought, Examples for ourselves, Examples for the World. From what? From the Strength of Love, Patriotic Love, Love for the Land which gave us birth.
Love also for Hope, because we are a People of Hope, of battles of Hope proposing always Peace, Concord, Christian example... Peace and Concord, to build Life all the Time, to continue being of Life and Miracles all the Time. And in these very hard and complex times Humanity is living through, to continue being an example, precisely, of the ability to strive based on Eternal Ideals and Values, which sustain us, which defend us, which we are and will be, God Willing.
An embrace to all the Compañeros and Compañeras of the Naval Force, an embrace to their Families, an embrace to all the Compañeros and Compañeras who fill us with pride in the Military Forces of the Nicaraguan Army... Forces for Peace, Forces to continue building and to continue advancing against Poverty, Forces that overcome. Overcoming with Goodness, not with hatred, not with repression… to overcome inspired, inspired and with the great Spirit we have from within.
Warm embraces, Compañeros and Compañeras. Let us Go Onward! Always Further On! Embraces.
