Doctor Gustavo Porras, Presidente de la Asamblea Nacional; Miembros de la Junta Directiva y Diputados y Diputadas presentes, reciban un cordial saludo de todos los Compañeros y Compañeras que integramos el Ministerio del Interior, Institución al servicio del Pueblo nicaragüense.
Agradecemos la invitación de la Asamblea Nacional para vivir este histórico Proceso de Consulta a la Iniciativa de Reforma de la Constitución Política y para conocer de primera mano los alcances de esta Reforma, que se impulsa para fortalecer la Institucionalidad y consolidar el Modelo de Paz, Seguridad y desarrollo que hoy vive Nicaragua.
El Ministerio del Interior, como Institución que coadyuva a garantizar la Seguridad Ciudadana, junto con nuestra Policía Nacional y el Ejército de Nicaragua, ha trabajado arduamente para asegurar las condiciones de Tranquilidad y Seguridad que permiten a las familias nica-ragüenses vivir, trabajar y prosperar en Paz.
Estimados Miembros de la Asamblea Nacional, en nombre de todas y todos los integrantes del Ministerio del Interior, quiero expresarles nuestro firme respaldo a la Reforma de la Constitución Política, que se realiza en pleno ejercicio de nuestra Soberanía, como Pueblo Libre e Independiente que decide su propio destino.
Esta Reforma conlleva un Proceso de amplia participación popular, en el que el Pueblo nicaragüense, a través de sus organizaciones, sus territorios y sus Instituciones, ha sido convocado a expresar su voz.
Como Ministerio del Interior, reafirmamos que la Seguridad y la Institucionalidad, que hoy se fortalecen con esta Reforma, son condiciones indispensables para garantizar los derechos y el Bienestar de todas y todos los nicaragüenses, particularmente de los sectores más amplios de nuestra Patria.
Como Ministerio del Interior, asumimos con Firmeza la Responsabilidad de garantizar las condiciones de Estabilidad y Tranquilidad necesarias para que ese Proceso Electoral se desarrolle en completa Paz, defendiendo a Nicaragua de cualquier intento de injerencia y menoscabo de nuestra Soberanía y Autodeterminación Nacional, derechos irrenunciables de nuestro Pueblo.
Reafirmamos también nuestro compromiso institucional, con Disciplina y Lealtad, con el cumplimiento de lo que mandata nuestra Constitución Política y nuestra Jefatura Suprema, los Copresidentes Comandante Daniel Ortega y Compañera Rosario Murillo, y, sobre todo, nuestro Pueblo Presidente.
Continuaremos trabajando cada día, en todo el Territorio Nacional, por la Paz Social, la Tranquilidad y la Protección de las Familias nicaragüenses, Valores que se verán reflejados y reforzados en los Principios de esta Reforma Constitucional.

Dr. Gustavo Porras, President of the National Assembly; Members of the Executive Board and Deputies present, receive a cordial greeting from all the Compañeros and Compañeras who make up the Ministry of the Interior, an Institution at the service of the Nicaraguan People.
We are grateful for the invitation of the National Assembly to experience this historic Process of Consultation on the Initiative to Reform the Political Constitution and to get know first-hand the scope of this Reform, which is being promoted to strengthen institutionality and consolidate the Model of Peace, Security and Development which Nicaragua is currently experiencing.
The Ministry of the Interior, as an Institution that contributes to guaranteeing Citizen Security, together with our National Police and the Nicaraguan Army, has worked hard to ensure the conditions of Tranquility and Security that allow Nicaragua’s families to live, work and prosper in peace.
Beloved members of the National Assembly, on behalf of all the members of the Ministry of the Interior, I want to express our firm support for the Reform of the Political Constitution, which is carried out in full exercise of our Sovereignty, as a Free and Independent People who decide their own destiny.
This Reform entails a Process of broad popular participation, in which the Nicaraguan people, through their organizations, their territories and their institutions, have been summoned to express their voice.
As the Ministry of the Interior, we reaffirm that Security and Institutionality, which are strengthened today with this Reform, are indispensable conditions to guarantee the rights and well-being of all Nicaraguans, particularly from the widest sectors of our Nation.
As the Ministry of the Interior, we firmly assume the Responsibility of guaranteeing the conditions of Stability and Tranquility necessary for the Electoral Process to take place in complete Peace, defending Nicaragua from any attempt to interfere and undermine our Sovereignty and National Self-determination, inalienable rights of our People.
We also reaffirm our institutional commitment, with Discipline and Loyalty, to the fulfillment of what is mandated by our Political Constitution and our Supreme Leadership, the Co-Presidents Comandante Daniel Ortega and Compañera Rosario Murillo, and, above all, our People President.
We will continue to work every day, throughout the National Territory, for Social Peace, Tranquility and the Protection of Nicaraguan Families, Values that will be reflected and reinforced in the Principles of this Constitutional Reform.
