Bueno, con la debida orientación de la Presidencia de la República, y con la presencia de la Comisión Especial Constitucional, de Representantes del Consejo Supremo Electoral y del Gabinete de Gobierno, hemos tenido una conversación con los Diplomáticos acreditados en nuestro País y Representantes de Organismos Internacionales, a quienes hemos explicado que estamos trabajando, como ustedes saben, un Proceso de Reforma Constitucional que nos garantiza el escenario necesario para continuar la Lucha contra la Pobreza, para buscar Estabilidad y para garantizar Seguridad y Paz, que eso es. fundamental.
Y para esto tenemos que hacer las Reformas Constitucionales que garantizan nuestra Democracia, la Democracia nicaragüense, la Democracia del Pueblo nicaragüense, la Democracia del Pueblo Presidente, que significa una Organización desde el punto de vista electoral, que responde a los intereses del Pueblo y que garantiza que las Elecciones van a ser del Pueblo nicaragüense, para el Pueblo nicaragüense, tal y como lo hemos venido reafirmando.
Eso le trasmitimos al Cuerpo Diplomático y estoy seguro que quedaron informados de que nosotros vamos a hacer unas Elecciones limpias, transparentes, tal y como lo hemos venido haciendo todos estos años, y dentro de la responsabilidad que nos toca como Representantes del Pueblo nicaragüense.
Eso es lo que van hacer esas Reformas, y fue interesante que hubo acogida, vimos las inquietudes que tenían, y vamos a continuar teniendo nuevos Encuentros para informar sobre los Procesos que tenemos. Es decir, es una Reunión donde nuestro objetivo es absolutamente informativo, y es importante para que ya todo el mundo quede claro. Ahora, el que no quiere estar claro es porque no quiere estar claro. Solamente.

Well, following due guidance from the Presidency of the Republic, and with the presence of the Special Constitutional Commission, Representatives of the Supreme Electoral Council and the Government’s Cabinet, we have held a conversation with the diplomats accredited in our country and representatives of international organizations, to whom we have explained that we are working, as you know, on a process of Constitutional Reform to guarantee us the necessary conditions to continue combating Poverty, seeking Stability and guaranteeing Peace and Security, and this is fundamental.
And to do so we have to make Constitutional Reforms which guarantee our Democracy, Nicaragua’s Democracy, the Democracy of the Nicaraguan People, the Democracy of the People President, which means an electoral organization which responds to the interests of the People and ensures that the Elections will be of Nicaragua’s People, for Nicaragua’s People, as we have been insisting.
We communicated this to the Diplomatic Corps and I am certain they understand we are going to hold clean, transparent elections, just as we have been doing all these years, in correspondence with the responsibility that befalls us as representatives of the Nicaraguan People.
That's what these Reforms are going to do, and it was interesting that there was acceptance, we noted their concerns, and we are going to continue holding new Meetings to inform about the processes we are engaged in. That is to say, these are meetings where our objective is exclusively to inform, and it is important so that everyone can now be clear. So now, anyone who isn’t clear is because they don't want to be. Period.
